What you should expect
Ancestry DNA has improved the confidence level measuring relationships by expanding the comparison methods to find bigger segments of your DNA shared between individuals potentially. Individual results will vary, but some DNA matches that were earlier predicted to be more closely associated with you at Higher confidence drop-down in your DNA list or no longer appear. You can see some DNA matches that you have not seen before.
If you have starred or notes a DNA match that no longer appears on your new list, you can download information of the previous match for a certain time limit from the DNA test settings page.

Ancestry has also added a new weekly email to update or notify you of the 4th cousin matches. As the new people take the Ancestry DNA test, you can see if a new cousin is found. If you have selected notifications, it is easy to go to the settings in your DNA test. You also can manage multiple Ancestry DNA tests in your account. You also can set or change your preferences for each DNA test.
Advances in the Science
The Ancestry DNA science team is making new advances to the complex science of genetic genealogy. With this update, we have expanded our areas or limits in the genome that we analyze to find larger or bigger areas of matching DNA. The new algorithm has more diverse DNA than ever before, including many populations outside America.
